Mikey Magic Technologies presents Active User Manager which is a complete user manager tool for a Windows Active Directory (AD) environment (Windows 2000 Server & Windows 2003 Server domains) that makes the process of manipulating users and organisational-units as easy as 1-2-3. From the very beginning, Active User Manager has been design to automate the tedious and time-consuming tasks that are involved in creating users. This includes the automatic creation, deletion and moving of user's folders and shares for their home and profile folders whenever the user is manipulated within the Active Directory environment.
The system is not just limited to creating a single user at a time but facilitates the ability to create users in bulk as well. This can be achieved using a similar set of properties for all the users or using the CSV import wizard to create many users with varying attributes. However the users are created their folders and shares can be automatically created at the same time.
There is also no problem of moving users about within the Active Directory if you wish to us an underlying folder structure similar to store user's folders because Active User Manager can automatically track and update these changes. The system will remove any existing shares, move the corresponding folders and recreate the shares just by moving the user icons about within Active User Manager.
Active User Manager does not stop at being just a user creation tool but further provides all the facilities to accomplish day-to-day user management tasks. Examples of this include the ability to set user properties both under a single selection, multiple section and even selecting a whole organisational-unit. Users can be added to groups, user accounts enabled or disabled, passwords reset and much more all at a simple click of a button.
